Some Extras

I still have more pictures to share even though I think everyone is probably pretty sick of all the pictures of my kids.  There's videos too, but that's mostly for grandparents to enjoy.

Olivia and I decided to make a house for all her stuffed animals.  She's painting the box!  We're not done yet, but hopefully we can do it before we move.

I feel like I never have enough pictures of Jocelyn because she's still in her larva stage.  I put her in her crib, she fell asleep and I had to take a picture.  See that blue marker?  Olivia did that.  Sometimes Jocelyn drools on it, then rubs her face in it and she has a blue mark on her face all day.

I am trying to do new things with Olivia and Jocelyn everyday.  We got a good deal on glow sticks so I put one in a water bottle and we went into our dark laundry room (the only room with no windows). Of course one wasn't enough for Olivia so we ended up using the whole pack.  She loved it though!

Last Thursday, a guy from our property management came over to our house to take pictures and estimate how much we could rent it out.  Here's the link if anyone is interested.  My parents came on Monday and we put them to work on last minute things that we really needed to get done that we haven't had time to get to.  We worked hard to get the house staged, but almost ran out of time.

On Wednesday night, we still had the edging alone the ceiling that we haven't done in a year and a half.  Here's Johnny sitting on his ladder doing the painting.  I actually started it, but then I realized that I really am afraid of heights, or maybe just ladders on stairs.

Olivia's super long hair!

Braided for the first time.  Didn't stay in very long though.

Here comes the videos!  Olivia loves her swings!

I don't know what this is so funny to me.  John doesn't think it's that funny.  There is a drinkable yogurt snack called Danimals.  Instead of sayong Danimals, she says Damnible which I think is adorable.

Don't worry Mom.  I watch Olivia very closely when she plays with the blinds.  Olivia likes to sit on the to of the sofa and pretend the chords are her seat belt.  Then she sings the Seat Belt song that I made up when I was a kid.

Olivia loves Disney Princesses and she love Cinderella (or Sars as she use to call her).  Here she is singing "Sing Sweet Nightingale".

And of course, my happy little 5-month-old!  She loves to chew on everything and most importantly loves to snuggle!

Outdoor Play

Olivia's favorite place to be outside!  Everyday she asks to play with water balloon.  Dollar store water balloons make for hours of fun, so it's definitely worth getting.

Jocelyn doesn't love being outside.  She prefers to be out of the sun, but she's still a baby.  A cute baby!

Olivia's other favorite thing to do is swing on the swing!  We brought her friend Paige mostly because it's helps a lot to bring Paige since she helps with the kids so much.  Oh!  And she's going to have a little brother today!

I had to share this photo.

Olivia had to come on Father's Day too!  She always wants to go higher and faster!

Jocelyn's first time down a slide!  Thanks for the hat Apo and Grandpa!  Keeps her bald spot un-sunburned.

If you look closely, you can see John and Jocelyn about to go down the really tall slide.

When we got home, Olivia and Jocelyn snuggled and watched Beauty and the Beast!  Jocelyn fell asleep.
That's all lately!  Stay tuned for the move soon!

Dam Good Day

On June 8th, John ran the Teton Dam Marathon and I ran the 5k.  It was John's 4th time running a marathon and my first time every doing any race.  I had a lot of fun, but John was just happy to be alive.  The night before we went to a potato bake and filled up on potato and cookies.  John spent the night in Rexburg with some friends and started his race at 6:30 AM.  My 5k started at 8:30, ran it, finished it, picked up the kids, then waited for Daddy to pass the finish line!

To lure Olivia away from the swings, I bought her way over priced peanut m&ms and we waited by the finish line!  She's waiting with my metal because she wanted to wear the "pretty necklace".  She definitely loves being a pretty girl.
This is right before John crossed the finish line!  We were screaming and waving, but he looked a little blank.  I wasn't even sure he noticed us even though there were only a few people behind the bars.  He was very excited to be done.
Crossing the finish line!  Time: 4 hours 48 minutes!  It's actually his worst time out of all his marathons, but it's hard, and he's alive.

Olivia showing us she's a winner!

Jocelyn got one too!

John probably won't be running marathons for a while, but we're looking forward to running more races for the free shirt after the fee!

My New Obsession

For my friend Natalie, I made over 300 mini cupcakes for her baby shower!  I know I went way overboard, but I really wanted a ton extra for everyone to take home.  There was.  My friend Cressa helped me out since there was no way I could do it with Olivia always wanting to help and Jocelyn always wanting to be entertained.

Here's our cupcakes!  We made Rocky Road, Tres Leches, Chocolate Raspberry, and Cheesecake-stuffed cupcakes with a greek yogurt-strawberry-blueberry frosting cupcakes.  They were all delightful and I really want to make more, but have no reason to.  I just hope someone has a baby soon so I can make more for a baby shower.
I didn't just want to brag about my amazing cupcakes, I mostly just wanted to show the picture of Olivia helping me prep the cupcake pan.

Happy Father's Day!

Happy Father's Day!  Father's Day was very delightful.  First thing in the morning, John got up with the children while I slept in, then there wasn't enough time for a fancy breakfast, so it ended up being a cereal morning.  I'm not going to lie, I forgot it was Father's day.

I actually had a gift planned for the kids to make, but I didn't.  Our whole family is so busy with the move that it's hard to keep the days straight.  But we still tried to make the day as special as we could!

First with a picture before church!
Jocelyn's first Father's day!

Just wait until next year John, bigger and better Father's day!  Of course it will be.  I'll remember next year.

No Wild Trips

We are moving in about a month and still have quite a few things to do on our house that we've been procrastinating for a long time.  So when John has a day off, we do things around town then come home and do more housework to get ready to move.  Here are some things that we've been doing on our days off and while Daddy is at work:

We got a BBQ from John's co-worker last winter and never used it.  On Sunday we invited some friends over and had a little BBQ outside.  The weather is perfect here during the summer.  As you can see in the back, Olivia is bugging the baby boy.  She likes to poke babies.  Jocelyn loves it, but other kids don't.

Bath time!  Here's Olivia with her homemade bath paints!

I can never do the dishes without Olivia wanting to help me.  It's usually pretty fun even if I have to change her outfit 5 times each day.

Since this mostly has to do with what Olivia does, I had to through in a picture of Jocelyn.

We go to the park almost everyday.  Right when Olivia wakes up in the morning, she yells "Slide!".  She also loves swings.

I bought a bunch of Greek Yogurt thinking that I would make smoothies, but it's too sour for me.  So I made fruit popsicles for Olivia and she loves them.

I usually like to pull the kids around in the laundry basket, but the girls also like to use it as a reading chair.

Olivia loves spending time with her daddy and loves going outside.  They were outside for a while and when I went out to check on them, they were just chilling in the shed.

I found a homemade sidewalk chalk paint receipt online and now we do it almost everyday!  It's so easy and super cheap but the fun lasts for hours.

Jocelyn just watched and Daddy joined when he got home from work!

Jocelyn is teething and she's pretty miserable, so we couldn't go to the park.  Olivia kept asking to go slide down the slide and since we couldn't go to the park, I set up our table just on two legs and she slid down it over and over again!

Olivia with her BFF Kolten feeding the birds.  Olivia is one day older but about 10 inches taller than this kid.

Climbing her first tree!  She didn't like it that much.

Since this entire post is about the activities that Olivia does, here's a little video of Jocelyn laughing at her mama attempting the hula hoop.  She is the cutest little girl with the happiest little giggle!

Where is Thumbkin?

After Olivia washed her hands (and her hair) in the sink, she sat on her "Where is Thumbkin" chair and started singing.  I don't even know where she learned this song; she just started singing it.  Nursery maybe?
