This week we tried twice to go to Hell's Half Acre for a nice, short day hike. The first time we tried to go to the unpaved part, but the dirt road going out there had melted snow and we were pretty sure that if we went down to the end of the dirt road, my little Dodge Neon would have gotten stuck. Then today after church, we thought that we would do the paved trails of Hell's Half Acre, but everyone was pretty tired by the time we left. It's about 15 miles away from our house, so by the time we got there, both girls were asleep and it wasn't worth putting both of them in our packs for a 1/2 mile trail. We turned around and went home.
But here's what we really did this week instead!
Olivia's friend came over to play. Almost everyday Olivia yells "Naysa, come here! Where are you?" So finally I invited Naysa over to play, but they fought the entire time over toys and Olivia would always want to wrestle her to the ground, but Naysa would cry. These Dino magnets from Aunt Emma were the only thing they were willing to share.
Olivia always wants me to take pictures of her. Here is one picture from about 100 I took during this photo shoot. I love her curls!
It was in the 40s one day, so my friend and I decided to take a walk with our kids down to the temple. It was Jocelyn's first walk and obviously a great way for the girls to take a nap.
Just talking to Jocelyn.
My little girl is 2 months old already!
We're really excited for this next weekend! Olivia is going to be 2 on Saturday and what better way to celebrate than to take the kids to The Museum of Clean! That's right. Monk's heaven.
