A lot of people have been asking me if Olivia and Jocelyn look the same. I think they look completely different. Here are their first 3 months of pictures. It's pretty obvious that Olivia already has more hair than 100 newborns combined and Olivia is a little bigger. But they are both adorable!

Happy Easter!
This Easter weekend was a lot of fun for Olivia and the rest of the family! Jocelyn just chilled in her various carrying devices. On Saturday we went to a neighborhood Easter egg hunt put on by a lady in our ward. It was at the local Elementary school with eggs spread around a huge field. On Thursday I helped assemble the eggs and I think we had around 2300.
We forgot to bring a basket so Jocelyn carried all the eggs for us.
Olivia wore her apron that Grandma Ruthie gave her. She loves it and it was perfect for her hunt.
I made another bunny cake, but this time, I made everything from scratch and didn't follow any specific recipe. The cake was a chocolate cake with big chunks of fresh strawberry. Then for the pink frosting, I use real strawberries and other secret ingredients with a green cream cheese frosting for the details. I know that the bunny's ears are a little uneven and the tie was tied by a drunk, but it tasted delish.
We tried to take a family Easter picture, but a 10-second timer is a little bit too much for Olivia.
Since today was in the 60's we went to the park to play. Olivia went down the slide and walked down the bars, with the help of her daddy.
And Jocelyn slept.
Happy Easter everyone!

California Part 2: Santa Rosa
We went to Santa Rosa the 2nd half of our week in California. We told my parents we were coming down, but we thought it would be fun to really surprise John's parents, so we didn't tell them at all we were coming. We made an excuse on Sunday when we were at my parents house that we couldn't skype because Olivia "broke our camera". Then John's dad called us everyday that week, so we thought he might have known we lied. We were just being paranoid.
We went to his office, but he went to the gym, so his secretary called him and said there was an emergency in his office and he needed to come back right away. I'm sure he wasn't disappointed when he saw us and went to In and Out for lunch instead.
Olivia loved the little kitty that at John's parents' house. She would run to the door every morning and talk to the kitty.
On Thursday, we had to go to the beach. The weather was actually really nice, but it is always cold at the ocean beach. We had so much fun and I wished we could have stayed longer. Olivia was having so much fun playing with daddy and staring at the birds.
Jocelyn was just hiding in the warm blankets.
On Friday we went to Angel Island (as seen in the back). There was only one boat in and one out, so we woke up early, and packed up the kids and went to Angel Island with John's mom.
Waiting in line for the boat!
We decided hike up to the top of the mountain instead of going all the way around. Jocelyn was asleep most of the time, but here she is at the beginning before falling asleep.
The trail was easy, but to start the hike, you need to go up some stairs. My legs burned even though it was only 50 steps. It must be there to weed out all the wimps.
Here we are at the summit! Olivia is asleep behind John on the only patch of shade at the top.
On the way down, we thought Olivia was asleep, but then we heard "Tree! Tree!"
We made it all the way down and we're alive! It wasn't very hard and it was the perfect family activity.
We thought the boat left at 1:10, but it didn't leave until 2:20, so we ate with a bunch of Chinese kids probably doing math problems on the cell phones.
And here's my little baby!
On Saturday we went up to Silver Springs NV to visit John's Grandma Ruthie. Olivia went outside to help her grandpa and daddy with the BBQ.
That night we stayed in a hotel. I thought the girls could sleep on the same bed, but Olivia rolled all around the queen-sized bed.
On Sunday before heading back home, we went back to Grandma Ruthie's and took some pictures, visited, and ate ice cream for breakfast. Here is the 4-generation picture!
The nice thing about Grandparents is that they love bathing their grandkids and change their diapers.
Olivia probably doesn't know this, but this is the last time she will ever be pictured with Mustang, her FAVORITE cat. He's going to what we call "a kill shelter". No, he isn't, but John's parents are getting rid of the cat. Olivia will be devastated, but hopefully she's forget him.
California Part 1: Sacramento
And we're off!
Last Friday, John found out that he had an unused paid paternity leave left from Jocelyn's birth. He had only one week to use it, so we decided to take a spontaneous trip to California! We decided at lunch on Friday to go to CA and 3 hours later, we were on the road!
We left Friday and Saturday was Olivia's 2nd birthday! I actually did most of the cake decorating, but my mom fixed all my mistakes. Olivia is obviously admiring her bunny cake.
Here's Grandpa with his two grandkids just a month apart:
And his other two grandkids a month apart!
My mom and I took Olivia to Costco, but she was so tired she didn't even wake up when we took her out of the car. Everyone that we walked past laughed at little Olivia in her resting pose.
Guess where we went on Monday!
Olivia LOVED it, but I think she liked the train that went through the zoo better.
Jocelyn enjoyed it too.
Then she got hungry.
Then we went to FairyTale Town across the street. Olivia was really tired after the zoo, so we more liked walked through it instead of played in it. I think next time we go, we will just go to FairyTale Town and not do it with the zoo. There is so much for kids to do there and it's only 4 bucks on the weekdays.
Before we left Sacramento, we went t visit Nana and Papa, John's grandparents.
Olivia loved her great-grandpa and dragged him around the house so that he would take her to see the dogs. She had him wrapped around her little fingers.
I wished we had a lot more time in Sacramento. We packed our day with fun stuff and still didn't really have enough time to do everything we wanted or visit everyone we wanted to. Hopefully someday we will move back to CA. We really miss everyone and the warm weather.
